As a resident of Alameda County for over 30 years, I have dedicated my career to public service, community leadership, and strengthening access to justice for all residents of Alameda County.
Since 2019, I have served as a Temporary Judge in Alameda County Superior Court, gaining firsthand experience with the responsibilities and challenges of our judicial system. This role reflects my commitment to fairness, integrity, and service to the people of Alameda County.
My community involvement spans decades. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Big Brother‘s Big Sisters of the East Bay and held senior leadership roles within the Alameda County Bar Association and its nonprofit legal services organization, now known as Legal Access Alameda. I was honored to serve as President of the Board of Directors for both ACBA organizations, leading efforts to expand access to legal services for underrepresented and marginalized individuals throughout Alameda County. For decades, I have remained deeply engaged in this work to strengthen the legal community and expand access to justice.
I am also a Lifetime Member of the Charles Houston Bar Association, a non-profit organization of African American lawyers, judges, and law students throughout Northern California. I am a Lifetime Member of the Oakland branch of the NAACP, a Rotarian with the Oakland Rotary Club #3, Financial Secretary of the California Association of Black Lawyers, and a member of the National Bar Association and the American Bar Association. These affiliations reflect a lifelong commitment to civic engagement, civil rights, and professional service.
Alongside my community work, I have guided major organizations through litigation and consumer protection matters, applying this experience to advance fairness, accountability, and public service.
